Are you living your DREAM?

If you are a kid, you dream of fairies, charming princes, beautiful princesses, happily ever after lives, so much of love, a fulfilling work life and in our dream worlds, there is never a sight of sadness, challenges, failures, heartaches, disappointments or conflicts. The world is painted so colorfully and there aren't any moments of grey shades.

While you grow up, you are exposed to so many options and even though theoretically, there should be freedom to choose something we love and pursue that as a dream, many myths and limitations set by the society and our own families limit the capacity and room for growth. The parameters of life and ways of living are rigidly modeled in to the society that each of us try to fit in to the requirements and then expect our life to be worth living. We expect living to be interpreted as fitting in to the socially accepted norms. These rigid structures command a significant amount of changes in your life. Years of commitment to academic/ professional qualifications, routine jobs, start at entry level, earn a salary at the end of the month and it goes on.

This value system is in built in the society that at one point of our life where many contradicting things happen,  we naturally fall in to this norm of accepting that the only way to live is by abiding to the in built waves of the society. In my opinion, creativity, innovation, craziness, energy and radical thinking disappears in the face of social limitations.

I heard my mentor say that only 20% of the people realize their dreams and be successful in life. And when you think of it, I sometimes wonder if it is even lesser. How many of us have the capacity and willingness to do whatever it takes to live the dream we want? How many of us can break the chains of social acceptance? How many of us at least try?

I am living my dream today and I realized no matter how hard it gets, when you live it, it is all you need. You need to find the passion in your life and do that for your living. It might be controversial and not widely accepted. But what is more fun than getting involved in the best thing you can ever think day in day out?? When you find your passion and when you follow it, you would know and feel the difference in your life.

How you are never tired.....
How you never lose focus..
How you never wana give up...
How you will treasure every second spent in that dream....

Never hesitate to take that step away from the traditional work myths! Let work give you a life of fun, challenges and learning and the only way to have it is to by following your passion..living your dream !!

So are YOU ready to take a risk and follow your dream??
